Antarctic Odyssey
Antarctic Odyssey Journey, solo, over 1130km on foot, unassisted and unsupported from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole, dragging 285lbs of food, fuel, equipment in a sled for 60 days.
Meagan, having grown up in Northern Ontario, is well acquainted with extremely cold temperatures (40C).
During her climbing expedition to Antarctica in 2004, she was awed by the beauty and the harshness of the extreme polar environment. Meagan will do her "shake-down", in preparation for her Antarctic adventure, in the North Pole at the end of March, early April 2009.
